Off again

Tomorrow, just before lunch, three of us will be trekking off out through Iceberg alley. We'll be taking Quads up north again but this time, instead of Bandits, we'll be passing Platcha (The Plateau Chateaus as one of the stories goes) and if there is no blowing snow, pushing on to Woop Woop. After spending a night there and letting me perhaps finally perform a cohesive run of tests (time, thus far, has been against me running all checks at once) on the gear up there, we'll come back home past... and get this, this is so original... BANDITS!!!! YAY! I think I am unintentionally in the running for the most trips to Bandits this season... certainly in winter anyway!

At work without photos - Adapt, improvise!

SO here I am wanting to put photos up and I am without the media. Well actually I do have some, some mislabled pics from "This week at Davis" HAHAHAHA. Not that I am trying to set the record straight, that isn't really a problem here :)

It has been slow around station this week. A surprise 50th was had for Fridgey Dave but before and after that, all was quiet. We also have 7 people off station for jollies this weekend. It is practically Davis ghost town!

All in a week

It seems like I have been busy for once. Since Friday 6th until now I have been out to Bandits hut (the northern most hut in the Vestfold hills, where Davis is situated) twice and played a game of darts against Mawson station. Shane and I played the opening game of Shanghai putting the scores 1-nil. Corey and Grumpy Andy played next, 2-nil with a nice Shang from Grumps. Finally Laser Dave and Boj played, these being Davis' best players. For the first half Laser carried Boj and then it flipped when Laser seemed to lose it a bit. It was a neck and neck game for a while as Mawson also put their best players up third. BUT... 3-nil it was. We played out the remaining 2 games in a more social atmosphere (it was all pretty social though, a lot of fun). Here are some pics.

Ok, so this doesn't fit with the time line. This was back in April, but a funny one none the less. Boj and I... and our faces
